Simmons Ranch was located south of Big Bend Road, north of I-75, and west of US 301, in land that is likely, today, more properly Riverview. However, the ranch was extensive and likely located in larger sections of Hillsborough County. Today, that land is behind St. Joseph's Hospital on Big Bend Road. Extensive Memories of Winafred Simmons Gardner's , and other family members, concerning life on the farm. She was born in the old house in 1924 and moved to the new house when in her early teens. She says that she has many fond, happy, fun memories of which she'll try to relate a few.
